In this article, we are going to discuss on how to setup Classified Properties module for public users. Let says we have a site quite similar to demo properties site which can be viewed below.

https://properties.dnninfo.com

In the home page we are going to install the following module called DNNInfoCFD Property Search so we can let our visitors to search the properties listings.

There are two extra pages that we need to create. The first page going to list all properties listings and the second page will be used to display details of the listing. Although you can combine the details listing page in the same page of first page but it is recommended to separate those pages for better SEO result.

Lets create the following pages:

1. Properties page
You can name it anything you like. But in this example. We are going to called it Properties. In this page we are going to install the following modules.

  • DNNInfoCFD Property Search Side Panel
  • DNNInfoCFD Property List

2. Property Details page

In the property details page. We need to install the following modules. Listing Enquiry and Google Maps modules are optional. It will be good if you want to add. Please hide this property details page because by default you do not want this page to be visible. Only when the public user click a property link to see the property details information.

  • DNNInfoCFD Property List
  • DNNInfoCFD Listing Enquiry (Optional)
  • DNNInfoCFD Listing GoogleMap (Optional)

Once all the modules have been installed we can setup each individual module.

Let's start with the homepage module first which is the DNNInfoCFD Property Search.

Click the module settings and go to DNNInfoCFD Property Search Settings tab.

In this settings the most important part is to set where is the location page of the property listing. In this example it will display Properties and Properties Details page because we install the DNNInfoCFD Property List module on both pages. We want to select the Properties page in this case.

There are couple of settings available such as the ability to choose the Themes, enable state and postcode search and option to remove the property price decimal.

Once this has been setup. Let's go for the Properties page and setup the two module settings we installed on the page.

  • DNNInfoCFD Property Search Side Panel

This module settings quite similar to what we have for the Search Properties for homepage.  There are additional couple options like Enable State Search, Use City combo box, Hide Distance Range field and Surrounding Cities option. We still need to set the Page option to Properties.

  • DNNInfoCFD Property List

In the DNNInfoCFD Property List module settings. Please set the Property Details Page to Property Details. This will ensure when you click the one of the property listing. It will redirect you to the Property details page. If you are going to use Email Enquiry option. Please remember to set the page to Property Details page as well.

The last step is to setup the module settings for Property Details page. It will still be the same module settings. The only setting we need to set is ticking the option "Disabled List records". By ticking this option, it will ensure the module only used to show details of the property listing only.
